Instrument Rentals
These are the rental rates for our standard
rental instruments. Any rental can be upgraded to our deluxe Cremona outfit for
an additional monthly fee.

* Instrument deposit less any late fees or
charges will be refunded or may be applied to the purchase of the instrument at
the time of the return of the instrument.

Terms of agreement:

There is a $30.00 deposit for violins and $75.00 deposit for cellos.

Rental instruments come standard with a bow, case and rosin.

Up to ½ of the monthly rental fee can be applied to the purchase price of
the instrument.

Partial rental fees applied to
the purchase of the instrument can not exceed the retail price of the instrument to be purchased.
Additional terms and
conditions:
Payments on rentals are
due in full by the 1st of each month:

Statements are not sent out, thus it is
the responsibility of the renter’s to make payments on time.

A $10.00 late fee will be charged to your
account for each late payment.

Accounts 90 days past due will be charged
to your credit card. This charge will include the full current retail price of
the rented instrument, past due rental fees and all fees incurred during the
rental period. The renter will also forfeit any equity that may have been
transferred to the purchase of another instrument.

The renter is responsible for any legal
costs incurred for collection should the account become 90 days past due.
Damage to instrument:
-
Any instrument that has been damaged must
be taken to Sites’ Violin Shop to insure proper repairs. Sites’ does not
guarantee the work of any luthier that is not associated with the Sites’
Violin Shop. Thus, having your rented instrument repaired by a non-associated
luthier may result in the renter being charged the purchase price of the
instrument if the work is faulty.

The renter is responsible for any and all
of the repair cost if the instrument is damaged

If the instrument is damaged beyond
repair, the renter will be charged the full purchase price.
Renter options:
-
As our customer the renter has the right
to return the instrument at any time. When instruments are returned, all
equity is forfeited. At this time the renter will be responsible for settling
all past due payments and any costs associated with repairing any damages to
the instrument. If the renter fails to pay for the past due payments or damage
costs at this time, Sites’ will charge the existing amount due on the account
to your credit card.

The maintenance package provides for
comprehensive repairs to cover all damage to the instrument and bow except
that caused by negligence.

Under this option the renter is only
responsible for paying ½ of the total cost of the instruments retail price
when the replacement of an instrument is necessary.
This option includes –
Free periodic check-ups and minor adjustments
Non-negligent damage repair and replacement of
parts (excludes string breakage)
Replacement of instrument when loss of
instrument is due to burglary with a visible sign of forced entry and renter
brings proof of a police report filed.
Repair of minor surface scratches in the finish
of the instrument.
This option excludes –
Theft due to carelessly leaving instrument
unattended at school, job, other facility or function or unlocked car or home
Misuse of equipment, instrument or other
negligence
Every day supplies such as rosin, strings and
bow re-hairing.
Loss of instrument due to fire, flood,
earthquake or other natural disasters
